After 8 months in Publication does the Highly Heralded
Reese Report Live Up to its Hype?
Evolution of the Traffic King
If you have been marketing online for the last couple
of years you probably have heard of John Reese. Reese is easily considered
one of the top Internet Information marketers today.
John Reese had been doing business online before its
commercial usage. Reese reveals he "had his share of hits and misses
online". As the story goes in his early forays into eCommerce he
lost a lot of money.
Finally he seemed to get an epiphany that he should stop
being so creative and start following in the footsteps of people and
businesses that were already successful.
Today John claims when people ask him what he does he
tells them "I sell what people are buying"!
This sounds like the insights of the quintessential marketer.
Eventually, if I am recounting his story right, John
began to make lots of money with eBay. Eventually he developed a picture
uploading web application for the service. This web application became
one of the Internet's most popular sites.
Over 1 Billion Visitors Served
Reese purports that his eBay picture application once
drew more traffic than major corporations like Disney. In aggregate
Reese claims to have driven over a BILLION visitors to his sites in
his online career.
This is an phenomenal accomplishment especially from
someone without the backing of major corporate advertising dollars.
This background alone has given Mr. Reese the distinction of being
the "Traffic King".
Reese despite all his accomplishments had essentially
been under the radar screen of the major information marketers and eCommerce
community.
He keep his secrets and strategies to himself. But finally
Mr. Reese claimed he couldn't take all the bad advice and misinformation
any more about doing business online.
In John's Trademark "pissed off fashion"
he wanted to go against the grain of the bad web marketing advice so
widely and freely exchanged in eCommerce and information marketing circles.
Coming Out of the Shadows of Success
Therefore, John Reese decided to make his presence and
success known to the masses of people online who were looking for reliable
information on running viable and profitable eBusinesses.
More recently however John has received notable hype for
generating "the one million dollar day".
Reese used affiliate marketing and joint ventures to generate over a
million dollars in sales in one day.
The million dollar day was achieved selling his $997
"Traffic Secrets" course. At the time I just didn't have the
almost one thousand dollars to invest in this course.
Therefore when I heard about his membership site for
only $97 dollars a month (a $1164 yearly investment) I couldn't ignore
the offer.
I was skeptical at first, but given John's penchant
for success I jumped at the chance to join his membership site.
The Most Bang for My Buck
It was fortunate for me I took a leap of faith, and overcame
my frugality and invested in his membership site.
I have invested similar funds in other membership sites,
but John's seems to give me the most bang for the buck.
The Reese Report covers more bases in winning the eCommerce
and information marketing game, than any similar site in which I invested.
One of the most important features for me of the Reese
Report is John gives you a heads up on how to protect your business.
No other membership program I know of focuses on how to protect your
Internet business, once it attains some level of success.
This is important since most of John's subscribers have
some level of web marketing savvy to be able to afford the $97 a month
fee. Not that $97 dollars a month is any where near exorbitant for the
value the Reese Report gives.
The point I am trying to make is that so many Internet
business people want everything for free, that John's members must be
more committed than the average web marketer.
Inside Secrets from a Master Marketer
Another unique plus with John's membership site is the
the inside information he shares on advanced marketing techniques. I
have lost some of my top search engine rankings to other obvious Reese
Report readers more recently.
But at least I know what tactics that they are using
and how to counter them. If I wasn't a reader of the Reese Report I
wouldn't have any clue why I am losing my rankings, traffic, and most
importantly how to counteract it.
These inside marketing tactics like how to use automated
software to create high ranking sites very quickly alone is worth the
membership.
While as a Reese Report member I can't divulge the exact
inside topics John covers as per the Agreement I am bound by when I
joined, I can say they are most enlightening.
Mr. Reese has a section called "Virtual Real
Estate" or (VRE sites) which is one of my favorites, where
he shows you hot markets with online upside potential.
Furthermore, he shares business sectors online that could
use good infoproducts. Moreover, John gets personal and hands-on with
his "Marketing Makeover" section where he gives suggestions
on improving selected member's sites.
Hands-On John
I know of no other membership site where the owner takes
time so methodically to show individual members ways to improve their
sites.
These features makes the Reese Report necessary reading
for serious web marketers. You will be at a serious disadvantage as
an Information marketer online if you aren't a member of the Reese Report.
The only downside I have seen with the Reese Report is
the earlier additions were mailed almost a month late to your home.
However John makes the digital version available online for those of
us (like me) who anxiously await the Reese Report every month. Lately
however mail deliveries have been much more timely.
With all the positive things I have mentioned about the
Reese Report for me I have not given you the most powerful positive
yet!
The Most Powerful Reese Report Advantage
John not only teaches you how to research viable markets
online but he also explains how to run an Internet business. If you
run an online business you know it can be overwhelming.
Think about it, you have to research, constantly get
training, writing, blogging, publishing and the list of tasks goes on
forever.
Mr. Reese strongly suggests outsourcing as much as possible,
and gives an overall good working structure for running an Internet
business.

This is a very important feature even many of his members
don't fully seem to appreciate. Many businesses fail because of mismanagement
and John's advice can help reverse this trend for many netpreneurs who
act on his insights.
Lastly, Reese covers some of the basics like ezines and
autoresponders in slightly advanced ways. Covering the basics is good,
because I am finding when I am less than successful on some sites, it
is because I forgot a basic online strategy or two.
